Empower VO/ MBO
What is your next step after graduating from secondary school or mbo? That might feel like a scary leap. Nothing to worry about: Pulsed Empower is here to support you. This inspiring, challenging program enables secondary school and mbo graduates to uncover their uniqueness and put it to satisfying use. Empower focuses on your wants, needs and abilities and helps you find the direction that fits you like a glove.
Empower is all about the strength of creating. The emphasis is on learning through experiencing, doing, sometimes failing, and starting all over to finally succeeding. That is why books are optional, not mandatory. Empower turns every day into an innovative field trip filled with technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity. At the same time, you stay socially connected with other students and lecturers.
While you develop relevant and thought-provoking knowledge and skills as well as a self-assured and self-aware mindset, lecturers and coaches are right by your side. Supporting you in every step with the personal attention you need.

Om de overgang naar het hbo zo soepel mogelijk te maken, ontwikkelden we vanuit Fontys Pulsed een aantal activiteiten onder de naam Empower. Voor als je hulp zoekt bij het maken van een bewuste studiekeuze, maar ook als je nieuwsgierig bent hoe het is om in de onderwijsomgeving van Fontys Pulsed aan een uitdagend project te werken.
De focus van Empower ligt op persoonlijke ontwikkeling en het leren maken van keuzes die bij je passen. Je leert jezelf (nog) beter kennen, ontdekt waar je energie van krijgt en waar je passie en talenten liggen, zodat je daarna gericht kunt zoeken naar opleidingen die daarbij passen.
Bij Pulsed werken we met open-ended challenges. Binnen de kaders van zo’n challenge krijg je veel ruimte om deze op je eigen manier aan te pakken en uit te werken. Dat is leuk, want het zorgt voor een uniek proces en resultaat. Maar het is ook zinvol, want door die manier van werken, worden jouw talenten, karaktereigenschappen en voorkeuren zichtbaar.
With the whole minor group, you start working on group challenges that all last from one to 5 weeks. One of them is a meaningful Pulsed for Good challenge that includes mini-challenges and active work around a cause or an initiative that has an impact on society.
During these weeks of challenge work, you have the freedom to decide what kind of role you want to take and what you would like to learn during the process. You also choose a unique track to further work on your personal purpose or develop your entrepreneurial skills or business.
Each week you have three working days in the Pulsed room, divided into challenge days (Wednesday, Thursday) and a track day (Tuesday).
Zit je in het (voor)examenjaar van havo, vwo of een mbo-4 opleiding en wil je op een praktische manier onderzoeken welke studie écht bij jou past? Schrijf je dan in voor Empower. Je kunt kiezen uit verschillende programma's, van kortere Empower Challenges tot een hele module Empower Kickstart van een aantal weken.
STORIES
In deze module doe je onderzoek naar jezelf en koppel je deze inzichten aan opleidingen die mogelijk passen bij jouw passie, talenten, karaktereigenschappen en leervoorkeuren. Dat doe je niet (alleen) op een theoretische manier, maar juist door veel te doen, ervaren, maken en erop uit te gaan.
De bijeenkomsten voor havo/vwo zijn op donderdagmiddag van 15.00 tot 17.00 uur. De bijeenkomsten voor mbo zijn op vrijdagochtend van 9.00 tot 12.00 uur.
