The challenge was to make any type of game and since I always wanted to try and make a videogame, I decided to do just that. The game that I ended up making was about impactful things that happened in my life so far. I decided to create a world that represents the inside of my head which in the game looks like a library. In this library the player walks around two dungeons. These are representing four things that had an impact on who I am today.

The biggest thing I learned from this project is the logic Lua. It was kinda hard to wrap my head around at first, but eventually it became more familiar. Even to the point that I could just write it out the top of my head. While I am still far away from fully mastering it, I can say that right now I'm very comfortable with this programming language. I'm also excited to learn new things about it!

Besides learning about the language I also got to learn myself better and learn more about how my own head works. After this challenge I also accept myself and my thoughts a lot more. And that links up to the impact I want to make with this game. I hope this game shows people that when you accept who you are and you try out what you are interested in, that you can achieve a lot! For example, I started with little to no coding knowledge, I watched some tutorials and now I have created my own game!

If you want to try something out, just allow yourself to take the opportunity and it give it a go!
